David Heo (B. 1992, Georgia) is a Chicago-based artist. He received his Master of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His works reflect on the irregular rhythm of pleasure and leisure, fleeting moments and seemingly mundane relationships. Through subtle imagery, vibrant colors and synthetic materials, Heo's work playfully presents themes ranging from the complexity of Asian-American identity within American culture to the misunderstood human interactions that one experiences during the night. Heo’s work has been exhibited nationally and featured in various publications.
